The JA New York jewelry show announced this week that it will partner with leading gift, accessories, and home decor show NY Now for its summer 2019 show—taking place Aug. 11–14 this year at the Javits Center in Manhattan. The pairing is a cohabitation, not a mash-up and marks the beginning of a permanent collaboration for both fair’s summer editions.
JA New York will still be self-contained event, but it will stand alongside NY Now, and a single registration will gain retailers access to both shows. Combined, retail buyers will have the opportunity to shop more than 600 designers and vendors.
The collaboration, according to a company statement, was designed to “provide our exhibitors with the unique opportunity to market themselves to an increased number of non-endemic retailers, consequently supporting the ongoing evolution of their success.”
JA New York’s summer show, which traditionally spans three days, will add a fourth day and has adjusted its date pattern from July to August.
NY Now’s offerings include sections for home furnishings and textiles, babies’ and children’s gifts and accessories, personal care and wellness accoutrement, and handmade designer/maker items and gifts.
“We’re confident that all of the retail buyers joining us will be delighted with the heightened offerings on display,” reads the same statement, “and we look forward to cross-promoting both events.”
