Black ice is a wintry road hazard, but in pavé form around the neck, it’s off-the-charts chic! That’s what Chicago-based J & Y Rocks has done with just under a carat’s worth of black diamonds: set them into tiny blackened 18k gold “ice” cubes and strung them on a chain. Dubbed the Double Black Diamond Ice Cubes necklace, jewelry designer Jane Berg took a (literally) cool idea of ice cubes and blackened them, instantly elevating an ordinary object to must-have status.
