Pure Grown Diamonds, which manufacturers lab-created diamonds, has appointed Curtis Lowrey, founder of Independent Gemological Laboratories, its new national director of brand training.
The lab will stay open under new management, said a Pure Grown spokesperson.
Lowrey said in a statement that the company will focus “on making Pure Grown Diamonds the benchmark for the cultured diamond business,” using the word cultured to describe lab-grown diamonds, to which some industry groups object.
Lisa Bissell, president and CEO of Pure Grown Diamonds, said in a statement: “With Curtis joining our team we continue to change the competitive landscape of the diamond industry.”
