Indie Jeweler de Boulle Partners With Patek Philippe for New Houston Location

The Dallas-based independent retailer will open a Patek Philippe showroom inside its new digs

Dallas-based independent retailer de Boulle is spreading its wings in Texas with a new location in Houston featuring a showroom dedicated to Patek Philippe timepieces.

The location, which is set to open in mid-October in the newly built 14-acre River Oaks District center, will carry an “expansive collection” from the Swiss watchmaker, including pieces first shown at this year’s Baselworld, according to a statement. The boutique will also feature the private label de Boulle Collection of diamond and colored stone jewelry, designed by co-owner Karen Boulle.

“When the opportunity arose in an extraordinary new luxury retail hub, we were quick to take advantage of it,” said de Boulle CEO Denis Boulle in the same statement. “We’re excited to enter the Houston market and look forward to meeting a new clientele.”

Patek Philippe and de Boulle have had a relationship that’s spanned 23 years and has assembled a substantial and comprehensive collection, and Denis de Boulle says his company and the watchmaker “align perfectly…in that both represent the epitome of precision, beauty, and finely crafted luxury goods. The opportunity to open a second location alongside Patek puts de Boulle on a path for continued growth.”

Patek Philippe president Larry Pettinelli added that “it’s rare to find partners like de Boulle who share similar ideals and fundamental direction. Because of Patek Philippe’s limited production, in the past 10 years it has been rare to consider a new point of sale. However, we are very pleased to share a new project with one of our longest-standing, trusted partners. We think the Houston market has tremendous potential, and we are confident that the de Boulle family will represent us in the highest manner.”

Editor’s Note: This story was changed to correct a detail about the store’s opening. It will open in mid-October, not this week.
