ImaGem Introduces Service for Diamond Fingerprinting

ImaGem introduced "ImaGem Secure" on Tuesday. ImaGem Secure uses a non-invasive hierarchical imaging technique for identifying a diamond after it has been fingerprinted. This service is currently available to consumers at Precision Gem Grading Lab in Philadelphia. Members of the trade can lease or purchase the VeriGem machine from ImaGem to start using this service. Current owners of VeriGem must upgrade the VeriGem software to use the fingerprinting service.

The service can be used to register and verify rough, polished and mounted diamonds. It is used for inventory management, memo transactions, jewelry manufacturing and law enforcement programs. ImaGem Secure can also support buy-back and upgrade programs. Consumers can use this service to ensure a diamond is not switched during a transaction.

For more information, contact ImaGem Inc. at (215) 477-9920 or send an email to info@imageminc.com.
