The IIJS Signature jewelry show was held Feb 19-22 at Kala Academy, Panjim, Goa, India. The show is the property of India’s Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council.
IIJS Signature 2010 kicked off with an event featuring Digambar Kamat, chief minister of Goa, and Pratap Singh Raoji Rane, speaker of the Goa Legislative Assembly. Also present at the event were Vasant Mehta, chairman of GJEPC; Sabyasachi Ray, ED, GJEPC; and Rajiv Jain, vice chairman of GJEPC.
The show, by invitation only, offered 50 top Indian exhibitors showcasing products in 68 booths. Visitors numbered 512, and there were seven delegations, from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Iran, Japan, Russia, and Uzbekistan.
Networking events included a night at Casino Royale.
Mehta noted that GJEPC was "happy with the turnout and results" of this year’s show.
