IDL Issues 1,000th Certificate

International Diamond Laboratories said it has issued its 1000th certificate after it initiated its production four weeks earlier.

“We have reached this first milestone earlier than expected. IDL will honour the confidence it is receiving from its clients by continuing to deliver accurate and consistent grading results,” said Peter Meeus, chief ececutive officer of IDL.

The offices in Antwerp and Mumbai received many inquiries on the products and services offered by IDL and further continue to register new clients. So far, IDL’s collection point in the Dubai Gold Souk has taken the lead for the number of registered stones.

The 1000th diamond that received an IDL Certificate, a 3-ct. princess cut, was registered in Mumbai by Rosy Blue.

The 999th diamond that received an IDL Certificate is a 5-ct. fancy color diamond, also registered in Mumbai by the Blue Star group.

In addition to this milestone, IDL held the official launch of its operations in Dubai on Nov. 19.

IDL, an initiative of the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre, is a global service provider for high-quality diamond certificates. Headquartered in Dubai, IDL has branches in Antwerp and Mumbai.
