IDI to Sponsor Jovella

For the first time, the IDI Group of Companies will sponsor Jovella, the international jewelry exhibition held annually in Tel Aviv, Israel. It will be held July 1 – 3 at the Tel Aviv Fairgrounds. IDI said is sponsoring this exhibition as part of its strategy of enhancing cooperation between the diamond and jewelry industries in Israel.

It will to feature about 200 exhibitors selling gold, silver, diamonds, precious stones, fashion jewelry, Judaica, watches, and pens. About 12,000 visitors are expected to attend the three day event, including about 300 buyers from abroad.

“This exhibition has proven to be an excellent showcase for the superb creativity and craftsmanship of Israel’s jewelry designers and manufacturers,” said Moti Ganz, chairman of the IDI Group of Companies. “We hope that our involvement will promote the show in global markets and further business opportunities for both Israel’s diamond and jewelry industries.”

Jovella will feature an Israeli Designers Avenue, which will host some of the most innovative and original Israeli designers. A gala dinner, a jewelry fashion show, and a seminar program are part of the show. Visitors from abroad will have an opportunity to visit the Israel Diamond Exchange and the newly redesigned Harry Oppenheimer Diamond Museum, both located in the Diamond Complex in Ramat Gan.

Jovella 2008 is also being sponsored by the Israel Ministry of Industry, Trade & Labor’s Administration of Diamonds, Precious Stones & Jewelry, the Israel Jewelry Manufacturers Association, and the Israel Export & International Cooperation Institute,

Israel exports about $400 million in jewelry every year, with most of this being sold in U.S. markets. In addition, Israel’s jewelry exports are sold in Russia, the UK, Hong Kong, Canada, Belgium, Spain, France, Japan and other destinations.
