The Indian Diamond and Colorstone Association (IDCA) elected Shekhar Shah (pictured), a principal at Real Gems, its president for 2026 at a Dec. 2 board meeting.
He takes over the New York City–based group from Manoj Bhandari, its 2025 president.
Other new IDCA officers chosen at the meeting were Vishal Shah, of Verigold Jewelry, as vice president; Jay Mehta, of Disons Gems, as secretary; Vishal Kotahwala, of RIU Jewels, treasurer; and Ajay Javeri, of Diamour, as joint secretary.
The association also elected the following directors to its board: Amit Bardia of FC Creations, Vaibhav Kothari of Diacentre, Hemant Phophaliya of AG Color/AG Diajewels, and Arya Sanghavi of Star Asia/Arya’s Collection.
