The “Gem by Gem” section of the International Colored Gemstone Association’s (ICA) Web site (www.gemstone.org) is now available in French, German and Japanese, in addition to English.
In addition, ICA said it has posted its first section of “Gem by Gem” in Russian and the organization is working on Chinese and Korean translations.
“With members in some 40 countries, with dozens of languages spoken, translations are no luxury,” said Constantin Wild of Idar Oberstein, Germany, the ICA director in charge of the Web site. “However, these translations are aimed less at the trade and more at the general public, the consumers. That’s the target community of this effort.”
