The International Colored Gemstone Association is continuing its campaign to bring in younger members and will reduce its membership fees and the cost of attending the upcoming ICA Congress.
“[It is] very important that we encourage the younger generation of gemstone professionals,” ICA president Benjamin Hackman said in a statement. “We want to see as many younger members as possible attend the Congress and become involved in the organization’s activities.”
The upcoming ICA Congress, which will also feature a gem trade show, will be held May 16–19 in the Sri Lankan capital of Colombo. The registration fee for group’s junior members is being lowered from $900 to $250.
