ICA Pavilion debuts at Brazil Gem Show

The International Colored Gemstone Association will participate for the first time in the 10th Brazil Gem Show, March 15-17, hosting an ICA Pavilion with more than 15 companies.

The ICA has taken a sponsorship position with IBGM, AngloGold Ashanti, FIEMG, Sebrae, and Governo De Minas with the promoter Sistema Sindijoias Ajomig supporting the gem show, which is the most significant trade show in South America. Brazil has a large base of ICA members who are active participants in the gem industry.

The show will be held this year in Governador Valaderes, Brazil, in an area rich in natural gem resources and that serves as a center for the mining and cutting of gemstones. The area also offers natural wonders along with spectacular historical and cultural sights.

Occupying an area of 2,500 square meters for gem traders and exhibitors alone, the show will also include exhibits from the jewelry sector and supply companies such as those displaying mining equipment and technology for transforming gems into jewels. Leading overseas companies have also signed on to participate in the show.
