The International Colored Gemstone Association announced Monday that the 2011 ICA Congress will be held in Brazil after an agreement was reached with the Brazilian Gems & Jewellery Trade Association to host the ICA Congress in Rio de Janeiro.
A decision on the dates of the Congress is expected within a few weeks. ICA and IBGM are considering dates in May or June next year. Discussions have begun for planning an ICA Mine Tour in Brazil immediately following the Congress; which is expected to draw many participants.
