Hublot and Yohji Yamamoto Collaborate on Limited-Edition All-Black Watch

Once again partnering with Japanese fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto, Hublot has unveiled the Classic Fusion All Black Camo watch. Marking their fourth collaboration since 2020, this release—limited to just 300 pieces—transforms black from a mere color into a study of texture and shadow.

The partnership draws on a shared history of rebellion. Hublot first disrupted Swiss watchmaking in 1980, daring to combine gold and rubber in the same watch, while Yamamoto redefined the Paris runways in 1981 with silhouettes that challenged fashion’s obsession with excess. By merging these legacies, the new Classic Fusion adopts Hublot’s All Black concept—pioneered in 2006—where light is defined by volume rather than brightness.

The watch features a 42 mm matte black ceramic case and a striking camouflage dial. This organic pattern, reimagined through Yamamoto’s avant-garde lens, appears as a monochrome relief that shifts subtly under changing light. The design is paired with a fusion strap of fabric and rubber, echoing the tactile nature of the designer’s signature wool and silk garments.

Technically, the timepiece is powered by the MHUB1110 automatic calibre. The movement, including its skeletonized rotor, is visible through a smoked sapphire caseback that maintains the watch’s dark, mysterious aesthetic.

“For Yohji Yamamoto, black reveals what truly matters, it purifies form, letting silhouette and texture speak,” said Hublot’s CEO, Julien Tornare, in a statement. “At Hublot, we treat black as a living material, sculpted, layered, folded where each surface interacts differently with light. This project marks our very first collaboration on a Classic Fusion model, and together, we share the belief that luxury is not what shines, but what endures.”

Each watch is presented in a custom All Black box bearing the designer’s signature. Retailing for $12,700, the Classic Fusion All Black Camo is now available at select Hublot boutiques and online.
