HSN announced this morning that Carmen Bauza will join the company Nov. 28 as executive vice president and chief merchandising officer for the multichannel retailer.
Bauza has more than 30 years of experience in retail, working for big brands including Wal-Mart, Five Below, and the Walt Disney Company. She will report directly to HSN president Bill Brand.
A statement released by HSN says Bauza “will be responsible for the comprehensive management and continuous development of HSN’s cross-category product portfolio—including the ongoing expansion of proprietary offerings.”
She will also “identify strategic opportunities to enhance cross-platform experiences and maximize HSN’s vast customer reach through distributed commerce” and “proactively seek innovative ways to engage HSN customers through compelling events and partnerships.”
Bauza is a graduate of Seton Hill University and spent the past 10 years at Wal-Mart. Her most recent role was as senior vice president for the retailer’s consumables, health and wellness merchandising division.
