A jeweler in the Houston area has been arrested in
connection with a jewelry theft that took place last year and some of the items
he’s accused of stealing have been found, according to a local news report.
According to the report, Gerald Milici, owner of Heritage
Jewelers, was indicted last year on charges of theft and theft from the elderly
after customers of the store contacted police searching for jewelry that had
been dropped off for repairs.
Milici was missing until police found him in southeast Harris County. If convicted, he faces 12 years in
prison and a fine.
Police are asking customers to claim the
jewelry that has been recovered.
