Avi Paz, honorary life president of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses, has been awarded the Ordre de la Couronne, which recognizes his work on developing the diamond trade between Belgium and Israel.
Benedicte Frankinet, Belgium’s ambassador to Israel, presented the award on Nov. 8 at a ceremony held at his residence in Israel.
“We are proud of your achievements in both Israel and Belgium and also what you have done for the WFDB,” Ernie Blom, president of the WFDB, said in a statement. “The award is well-deserved.”
