The Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair 2007 will be held Sept. 5 – 9 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Entering its 26th edition, the show expects to host more than 820 exhibitors from 18 countries.
Brands featured at the fair’s “premium zone” include Hong Kong names such as LAtitude, o.d.m.; French brands such as LAFUMA, Pierre Lannier, Elite Models’ Fashion, Thierry Mugler; Daewoo of Korea; Italian brand GF Ferre, and Swiss brands such as Olympia Star and Murex.
Over the years, the fair has successfully established itself as a premier sourcing platform dedicated to clocks and watches.
Besides sourcing activities, a series of seminars and the popular Asian Watch Conference will also be held during the fair period. Taking place on Sept. 8, the conference includes Jean-Daniel Pasche, president, Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry FH, as the keynote speaker this year. Mini watch parades will also be held throughout the fair period, highlighting some of the outstanding designs from exhibitors and adding color to the fair.
With an aim to further enhance the design and quality of Hong Kong-made watches and clocks, the 24th Hong Kong Watch and Clock Design Competition will again be a concurrent event to the fair. Winners in the Open Group, competing under the theme of “Lifestyle Culture” and Student Group, competing under the theme of “Dream of the Future,” will be receiving their awards at the opening ceremony of the fair on September 5.
The Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair is jointly organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the Hong Kong Watch Manufacturers Association Ltd, and the Federation of Hong Kong Watch Trades and Industries Ltd. The 2006 fair attracted a total of 16,348 buyers from 96 countries and regions.
