Hermès has purchased a majority stake in Joseph Erard, a 125-year-old Swiss company that makes watch box cases.
It previously held a minority stake in the business.
“For Hermès, this latest acquisition is a natural step in the continued process of furthering its watchmaking expertise,” a company statement said.
Terms were undisclosed.
