Hedda Schupak Named to 24K Club

Hedda Schupak, editor-in-chief of Jewelers Circular Keystone magazine, has been elected as a member of The Twenty-Four Karat Club of the City of New York. Founded in 1902, the membership roster reads as a virtual “Who’s Who” of the jewelry industry. She was inducted, along with Jerry Ehrenwald, president of the International Gemological Institute and Glenn Markman, executive vice president of Suberi Bros. LLC. , during a lunch meeting held Tuesday.

Schupak joined JCK in 1986 as a general reporter and production editor. From there she progressed first to senior fashion editor and later to editor of two of the JCK Group’s niche publications, JCK Luxury and Trendz. In 2000, she became editorial director of the publishing group, where she has stood as an advocate for the jewelry industry and for the editorial integrity of JCK.

A popular lecturer at various industry conferences, she has received many honors and awards inside and outside the industry. In 2003, she was named one of Pennsylvania’s Top 50 Women in Business, a year later she received Jewelry Information Center Trade Press Award. In 2006, she was inducted into the Women’s Jewelry Association Hall of Fame.
