The Rapaport Group has appointed industry veteran Harsh Parekh managing director of Rapaport India, the 68-member team with offices in Mumbai and Surat.
Parekh has worked in India’s diamond industry for 15 years, most recently as director of buying operations for Zale Corp. He previously worked in jewelry merchandising for Wal-Mart.
He replaces Pooja Kotwani, an 11-year veteran of the company. She will take on a senior management role in international development.
