The Peanuts gang is a permanent fixture from Halloween through Christmas, a tradition none of the holidays during this time of year would be the same without. A Charlie Brown Christmas, first aired in 1965, has delighted generation after generation. (A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving and It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown are lesser classics.)
Charles M. Schulz’s characters have proved timeless, and their popularity is exemplified by two new releases from jewelry and watch brands, which bring “Good grief!” energy to consumers of all ages. Just in time for the holiday season, the licensed themed watches from Armitron and lockets by Monica Rich Kosann offer a chic way for fans to enjoy Peanuts around their wrist or neck.

Armitron just released a collection of nine limited-edition watches that pull from the archives of its first partnership with the Peanuts comic strip, dating back to the 1970s. The super wearable pieces include the Lineup (pictured at top), featuring Sally, Linus, Charlie Brown, Lucy, Woodstock, and Snoopy, along with a gold tone dial and black leather strap; Time to Celebrate, a joyful scene that includes less frequently seen characters Marcie and Franklin; the Lookout, with a red leather strap to match the color of Snoopy’s doghouse (on top of which we find him and Woodstock); and Good Grief!, a baby blue watch depicting Snoopy’s surf session gone awry.

For jewelry, Monica Rich Kosann recently expanded the Peanuts x MRK collection, which debuted in April with 10 bracelets. Kosann has added a locket, available in gold or sterling silver, based on her Viv locket, a style that’s been central to the business since its incarnation.
The Snoopy version features the Slim Viv, the brand’s best-selling locket, topped with a lounging Snoopy, to evoke that iconic image of him lying faceup on the roof of his doghouse. The dog’s ears are dotted with diamonds on the 18k gold Snoopy x Slim Viv, while the sterling silver iteration gets its sparkle from white sapphires. Each locket is engravable, and opens to display two pictures of the wearer’s choice.
