Gemological Science International has set up the first grading lab inside the world’s largest diamond trading center, Mumbai’s Bharat Diamond Bourse.
The 20-acre complex houses approximately 2,400 offices comprising a constructed area of two million square feet catering to diamond manufacturers, traders, and retailers.
“The BDB complex is nothing short of a fortress,” said Neeta Shah, GSI’s vice president of Indian operations, in a statement. “It has changed the way the diamond industry functions. Our new lab will make diamond grading and other lab services more convenient.”
The new GSI lab is located at EW1199.
