Barely a week after gold first broke the $1,500 barrier, the
price of gold hit yet a new record on April 28 by reaching $1,535 an ounce.
Analysts called the metal’s latest surge a response to “dovish”
monetary policies from the U.S. Federal Reserve.
Silver also traded at a historic high on April 28, hitting
$49.41 an ounce.
