Gina D’Onofrio is rejoining Heritage Auctions, as co-director of fine jewelry, based in Heritage’s Beverly Hills office.
She was Heritage’s director of fine jewelry from 2016 to early 2021, when she left the auction house to resume running her own appraisal business.
D’Onofrio has worked in the jewelry industry since 1989. She is a Certified Master Appraiser with the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers and a Master Gemologist Appraiser with the American Society of Appraisers.
In 2000, she opened an independent appraisal business in Los Angeles, which catered to individuals, banks, trusts, nonprofit organizations, insurance companies, legal firms, and the jewelry trade.
“The lure of auctions proved irresistible, leading me straight back to Heritage,” D’Onofrio said in a statement.
She serves on a team at Heritage that includes Jill Burgum, the company’s Dallas-based executive director of fine jewelry, and Ana Wroblaski, also based in Beverly Hills.
