Gilt, the online luxury flash-sale site, has announced a brick-and-mortar shopping service called Gilt by Appointment.
The site is inviting members of the site, which is free to join, to schedule appointment-based personal shopping sessions at a showroom in its midtown New York City office.
“We always look for new ways to engage our members and bring them insider access to the most coveted brands,” said Clay Cowan, chief marketing officer of Gilt.com. “Launching the Gilt by Appointment showroom opens up a whole new way of shopping Gilt, allowing our members to experience the perks of Gilt.com with the convenience that comes with brick-and-mortar shopping, including trying on and seeing items in person, shopping with a personal stylist, and the excitement of taking home purchases that day.”
When making an appointment online, customers share what they are shopping for, and a Gilt stylist will pull pieces for them. Sessions last 60 to 90 minutes. More information is available at Gilt.com.
