GIA to Hold Memorial for Crowningshield

The Gemological Institute of America will host a memorial for G. Robert Crowningshield Jan. 11, 2007. The famed gemologist passed away Nov. 8. The service will be held Jan. 11, 2007, at 5 p.m. at the College Hall of the University Club of New York, with a reception immediately following.

The University Club of New York is located at One West 54th Street (at 5th Ave.). To attend, please RVSP by Jan. 5 to memorial@gia.edu or call 760-603-4255. Dress is business attire.

In lieu of flowers being sent to GIA, if you would like to make a gesture of remembrance, please do so through the Crowningshield Endowment for Research. Your donation will be permanently invested and the earnings will be used for GIA’s research programs and projects.
