A memorial service for John Sinkankas, who passed away on May 17th, will be held on Saturday, June 29th at GIA’s Carlsbad headquarters from 4:00-7:00 pm.

Sinkankas played a big part in GIA education, and helped establish the cornerstone for the Richard T. Liddicoat Gemological Library when he and his wife Marjorie made available their 13,000 gem and mineral book collection.
