The Gemological Institute of America is holding its sixth International Gemological Symposium next year in Carlsbad, Calif.
It will run from Sunday, October 7, through Tuesday, October 9, 2018.
The three-day event, with the theme “New Challenges. Creating Opportunities,” will include gemological research findings and feature a business track led by professors from Harvard Business School.
GIA held the first symposium in 1982 and since held similar events in 1991, 1999, 2006, and 2011.
