GIA captures six awards in San Diego PR competition

The Gemological Institute of America received six awards from the San Diego Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Sept. 18 at the 2003 Edward L. Bernays Mark of Excellence Awards competition.

GIA won a Silver Bernays Award of Merit in the category of Institutional Programs (Nonprofit), and Bronze Bernays Awards in the categories of Interactive Communications (E-zines/newsletters), Brochure, Video News Release, Internal Video Programs, and Creative Tactics.

GIA’s Silver Bernays was for the Institute’s annual Education Campaign. The Bronze Awards were for GIA’s e-zine, GIA Insider; the GIA Tower of Brilliance Dedication Invitation; the videos, Richard T. Liddicoat, A Celebration of Life and Diamond Laser Inscription; and The GIA Endowment Fund Brochure.

It was the second consecutive year in which GIA won multiple Bernays Awards. In 2002, the Insitute won for its Education Catalog and for the video, How GIA Grades Your Diamond Using the Four Cs.
