Modern Family may have taken the Emmy for Best Comedy at this year’s awards show, but Sofia Vergara‘s choice of jewelry deserved an award all itself. In a sea of subtle-to-no jewels and general blah-ness, the Colombian stunner’s platinum Lorraine Schwartz drop earrings—and accompanying ring —shone bright indeed. Over 100 carats of unheated ruby, sapphire, and Colombian emeralds adorned the triple-gemstone, linear drops, and while that kind of weight might not be for your everyday shopper, we still have some fantastic jewels to emulate Vergara’s look. The bold colors of the precious gemstones looked exquisite in their graduated settings, and this would work for any color or type of gemstone. So here are some of my favorite drop earrings, each with three colored gemstones in a neat little line, so everyone can add a little piece of the red carpet look to everyday ensembles.
