In a sea of washed-out color and subpar dresses, the abundance of knockout jewels—mostly diamonds—on the 2013 Academy Awards red carpet provided a major silver lining. And if you’re asking me who stole the show, I’d say in an instant that Jennifer Lawrence was the queen of the night. I wasn’t gushing over her Dior Haute Couture gown—a work of art in its own right, of course (despite the fact that the actress found herself tripping over it on the way to collect her much-deserved gold statue). But thanks to the 22 year-old’s glittering jewels, it didn’t much matter what dress she was wearing. Sparkling in Chopard, the mega-wow earrings should have been obvious show-stealers, but it was the delicate chain that trailed down the actress’ back—christened the backlace, if my Twitter feed was any indication—that had everyone talking. It’s an easy look to achieve: Take an opera-length or rope strand, and drape it backwards so that it hangs down the back—instant glam. Here are 10 pieces to get into your store ASAP to give your customers the red-carpet look.
