The Gemological Institute of America announced Jan Iverson
as the editor-in-chief of its quarterly research journal Gems & Gemology.

Iverson’s appointment will be effective June 1. Iverson replaces Alice Keller, who retired last year.

Iverson has more than 10 years of international publishing and
new media experience. Prior to joining G & G, Iverson was with Physicians’
Education Resource, a medical education company, where she managed a portfolio
of peer-reviewed print and multimedia products to ensure fail-safe medical
education.
