Gems and Jewelry Appraisal Workshop

The Northern California Chapter of the American Society of Appraisers is sponsoring a one-day gems and jewelry workshop in San Francisco. The workshop covers selecting relevant comps, adjusting for value of the dollar, adjusting for value characteristics, analyzing results, reaching an opinion of value, and writing a persuasive narrative.

The workshop instructor is Nancy Stacy, GG, ASA Master Gemologist Appraiser who will present “Conquering Comps-Jewelry Market Modeling.”

The workshop will be held at L’Olivier Restaurant, 465 Davis Court, San Francisco, in the main dining room from 8 a.m. till 4 p.m. The restaurant is accessible from the San Francisco airport via BART (Embarcadero Station) and $5 valet parking is available. The cost is $225 for non-members and $195 member. The phone number for the restaurant is 415-981-7824.

Stacy says participants will leave this course with renewed confidence in their “ability to locate, choose, adjust, and analyze comparable sales.”
