Gemological Science International opened a new laboratory in Antwerp, Belgium.
The new location marks the fourth GSI operation located in a major international diamond center. The others include its headquarters in New York City, and additional laboratories in Mumbai and Ramat Gan, Israel.
“Antwerp is an important diamond trading center, and we believe it will continue to be a global trading hub,” Mark Gershburg, CEO of GSI, said in a statement. “Our presence here helps us respond more quickly to our clients’ needs as well as supports our long-term strategic goals. We have received a very warm welcome from our clients and others in the diamond community.”
