Gem-A Debuts New Colored Stones Grading Course

The Gemmological Association of Great Britain (Gem-A) will offer a new course in colored stones grading.

The course is in partnership with GemeWizard, the software-based tool for color communication and gem grading.

The course will introduce jewelers and gemologists to the world of color grading for gemstones, including color, transparency, and cut and will also provide instruction on using GemeWizard tools for color grading and pricing.

“GemeWizard’s colour grading system with its associated GemePrice system is a one-of-a-kind piece of software that has an important role to play in the ways the gem community grades and prices gemstones,” said Gem-A CEO James Riley. “To keep up with the industry and the way it’s moving, we at Gem-A think it’s important to create new educational content that ensures those looking to join the trade are kept up-to-date with all the latest developments in techniques and technology.”

The online course will launch in February of this year. More information is available at
