Under a new agreement, the Japan Gem Society will provide gem education from Gem-A, the Gemmological Association of Great Britain, to its members in Japan.
Akira Ito, JGS chairman, met with management of Gem-A in Hong Kong this February to finalize the collaboration.
“Japan is a major player on the world jewelry stage and an important market for Gem-A,” Ito said in a statement. “I am delighted that we have been able to cement this relationship between Gem-A and JGS and we look forward to helping to grow access to excellent gem education in Japan.”
