Cranston, R.I.–based refiner Gannon & Scott has named Chris Cummings its senior accountant.
In his new role, Cummings will oversee daily accounting operations, support financial reporting, and work with the company’s leadership on business decisions.
Cummings received both his MBA and a bachelor’s in business administration from the University of Mary Washington.
He began his career at IREX, where he worked in the nonprofit’s accounting division. He later joined Johnson Lambert as a senior audit associate.
Gannon & Scott announced last fall that it was being acquired by major Swiss refiner Metalor Technologies.
“With Gannon & Scott joining Metalor Technologies USA, it is an exciting time to join the organization,” Cummings said in a statement. “Even though I will be a new member of the team, we will all be learning new systems and approaches. It is an opportunity to be on the ground floor of a historic change.”
