There are large telemarketing companies who have set their thousands of telemarketers to fund-raising for the World Trade Center tragedy. These companies take advantage of a legal loophole that allows them to collect money but give only 2% of it to the charities they allegedly represent. Oftentimes they create the charity and keep all the donated monies for themselves. We urge all of our readers and their families to give to known entities only, and at no time give money over the telephone.
