What a way to kick off Jewelry Week in Las Vegas!
My journey to Las Vegas yesterday was a total blur; from the taxi to the plane to the taxi again, it felt like I went from the sights of Washington, D.C., to the JCK LUXURY show floor in the blink of an eye. Needless to say I was a bit discombobulated—not to mention completely blinded thanks to the delectable array of diamonds and gemstones sparkling within their shining cases at every turn. But who’s complaining? Certainly not me. If you’re going to be transported anywhere, it had better be to a place where jewelry is the main dish. With JCK Las Vegas officially opening today (Friday, June 3), I’m so glad that I got a little (semi-)private time with these LUXURY brands during the invite-only portion of the show. Here are five of my favorite finds from the LUXURY and Elite Enclave scene.
Bracelet in 18k white gold with 73.96 cts. t.w. opal, 12.05 cts. t.w. pink spinel, and 1.45 cts. t.w. diamonds, $62,920; Yael Designs
I had seen photos of Yael’s bracelet and knew that it was something special. But in person, it’s beyond special. Plus, it feels fantastic on the wrist. As if it could feel any other way!
Tumbled sapphire rings, prices vary; Parade Design
Have you ever seen a more whimsical, colorful sight? Parade’s tumbled sapphire collection is a veritable garden of amazingness. Incidentally, each ring looks just as fascinating on its own. (Plus, wearing a single piece is just a lot more, ya know, practical.)
Ring in 18k yellow gold with rainbow moonstone and diamonds, $4,150; Arya Esha
Though I wish I’d done a better job of avoiding the shadow that my ginormous head caused in this photo, I chose it because of the way the color is reflecting in the glorious moonstone creation from Arya Esha. Its border is streamlined yet ornate, and it caught my eye right away.
Earrings in white gold with 0.87 ct. t.w. round diamonds, 0.2 ct. t.w. marquise, 0.33 ct. t.w. pear, and 0.27 ct. t.w. princess-cut diamonds, $7,200; Parade Design
It took a whole lotta willpower to leave Parade Design behind without taking these earrings with me (well, that and a lack of budget). I love the way the delicate design looks, glittering with diamonds and wrapping behind the ear so swiftly and sturdiy. I could most definitely wear these each and every day, and I think they make an impact for any occasion.
Sentience bracelet in 18k white gold with a 6.95 ct. tanzanite set inside a 26.44 ct. aquamarine, accented with 6.19 cts. t.w. moonstone and 6.95 cts. t.w. diamonds, $125,000; Yael Designs
One more from Yael, because it’s that good. I had featured the Sentience bracelet as a Britt’s Pick back in March, so getting to see (and wear) the remarkable piece in person was truly rewarding. Be sure to go and pay it a visit—you’ll be mesmerized.
