Fred Meyer Jewelers, the nation’s third largest jewelry retailer, will open a new store in Lexington, Ky., on April 22.

The 1,305 sq.-ft. store is within the Kroger’s Marketplace, which is opening simultaneously.  This opening marks the company’s third store in Kentucky, and 388th store total.

“We are proud to continue our expansion in Kentucky in response to our customers who want quality jewelry at a great value along with the convenience of local shopping and a high level of service,” said Peter Engel president of Fred Meyer Jewelers.

Kroger’s Marketplace storewide celebration begins April 22. Customers can enter to win a diamond pendant valued at $995 from Fred Meyer Jewelers along with other Marketplace prizes. On April 24, the first 500 Fred Meyer Jewelers customers will receive a gift bag that includes a $10 Fred Meyer Jewelers gift card, jewelry cleaner, and a times perpetual date calendar.
