Fossil strikes deal with Armani jewelry

Wristwatch and clothing retailer Fossil Inc. said Monday it has reached agreement with Giorgio Armani SpA for an exclusive worldwide license to make and sell a line of Emporio Armani jewelry, the Associated Press reported.

Fossil said it expects to complete definitive agreements within 30 days and begin selling the items this fall in jewelry stores and Armani watch dealers in the United States and other countries, the AP reported.

Fossil, based in the Dallas suburb of Richardson, is already the exclusive licensee for Armani watches. It also designs and sells fashion watches under the Fossil and Relic brands and sells leather accessories, sunglasses and clothing in its own stores and department stores.
