MetaWatch, a spin-off of Fossil that concentrates on smartwatches, has introduced what it calls the first “high-end” smartwatch.
While most smartwatches are plastic, the brand’s new Meta Line uses a leather band and stainless steel case.
The watch provides notifications for Android, iOS6, and iOS7 phones.
“MetaWatch [allows] you to spend less time lost in your smartphone and more time connecting with those around you,” said Bill Geiser, CEO of MetaWatch, in a statement. “You can stay updated without being distracted. And remain confident knowing you will always be in style.”
The watches will be available at Best Buy and selected retailers.
