Fornas Retires as Richemont Co-CEO

Richard Lepeu remains in the top job

On March 31, Bernard Fornas, the former head of Cartier, will retire as co-CEO of Richemont, which owns Cartier and numerous other luxury brands.

Richard Lepeu remains CEO. Fornas, a 22-year veteran of the company, was first appointed co-CEO with Lepeu in April 2013.

Fornas will also retire from the company’s senior executive committee and group management committee but will remain a nonexecutive member of its board of directors.

Current Cartier CEO Cyrille Vigneron will join Richemont’s senior executive committee on April 1 and will stand for election to its board in the next election.
