Tim Dabson and Trudy Curran get seats on the Canadian miner’s board
Former De Beers executive Tim Dabson and Trudy Curran have been appointed the board of Canadian miner Dominion Diamond Corp.
Dabson has 35 years’ experience in the diamond industry across the value chain. He worked for De Beers for 33 years in a variety of positions, most recently in the role of executive director, beneficiation.
Curran brings 30 years’ experience in mergers and acquisitions, financing, executive compensation, and governance across a range of industries. She also was named one of Canada’s top 100 Most Powerful Women in 2012. She will now chair the board’s health, safety, and environmental committee.
The two new appointments bring the board to nine members.
The board’s current chairman, Jim Gowans, is also a De Beers veteran.
