Forget the Silver Spoon, This Is a $400,000 Platinum and Diamond Pacifier

The piece was created by diamond dealer Eyal Cohen to promote his natural color diamond gifts

Diamond dealer Eyal Cohen, owner of Luxury Diamonds, is debuting his new line of diamond gifts with a pacifier fit for royalty.

The $400,000 objet d’art (pictured, right) is the first of Cohen’s new line of natural diamond gifts under the name Objet de Luxe. It is crafted from 4 oz. of platinum, a 10 mm white pearl, and a natural green-blue diamond.

“The pacifier is meant to be a keepsake, not for the actual baby,” Cohen says, just to make it explicit. “It can be engraved with the baby’s name.

“I didn’t make it with any specific customer in mind, rather I created the line to fill a void in the marketplace for new products,” Eyal Cohen tells JCK. Most pieces are priced between $700 and $4,000, “below comparable colored diamond jewelry,” he says.

“My objects are a wise choice for anyone seeking a memorable gift, which could rise in value,” he says. “Nature produces diamonds with an amazing assortment of colors, and there are a lot of products that we can create with them as gifts, not just jewelry. The concept of natural color diamond gifts is brand new.”

The company will supply jewelry stores, international diamond dealers, and private individuals.
