Follow Up: Stephen Webster

London-based jeweler Stephen Webster has called in long time friend, and five-time Grammy winner, Christina Aguilera as the face of his new advertising campaign which began running in April 2008. The spring launch marked Webster’s first international advertising campaign. As Webster’s muse and design inspiration behind the new Stephen Webster collection, Aguilera is featured wearing the new collection of rings, cuffs, pendants and earrings that have gemstones such as jade, chalcedony, goldstone, hematite, and white agate.

“I am very excited to launch my first advertising campaign with Christina as she has been a very close friend for many years and the main source of inspiration behind this collection,” said Webster.

The inspiration for the campaign, invisaged and developed by Webster, stems from the legendary producer and director Alfred Hitchcock’s films. Hitchcock, known for his ability to blend suspense, sex and humor, motivated Webster to transform Aguilera into the classic Hitchcock heroine.

“I have always loved Hitchcock’s films and to be able to transport Christina and my jewelry into that classic setting was an amazing experience for me,” added Webster.

Depicting the common Hitchcock tenor of fear and fantasy, the photographer Vincent Peters, stylist Victoria Adcock, and hair and make-up artists Peter Savic and Kristofer Buckle, worked with Webster and Aguilera to create Hitchcock’s beauty and danger in the both color and black and white campaign.

“Stephen and I have been friends for many years and working together on this campaign and collection has been an incredible experience,” said Aguilera. “He is a wonderful designer with a creative spirit and innovative vision and I am honored to be a part of it all.”
