Florida Jeweler Faces Arraignment for Allegedly Faking Robbery

Lee Havens, who had operated Lee Havens Fine Jewelry in Florida, will face arraignment on December 28th for allegedly faking a $5.6 million robbery at his shop last January to defraud his insurance company, according to a local news source.

Havens has been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery, kidnapping, insurance fraud over $100,000, seven counts of grand theft over $100,000 and organized scheme to defraud.

Yakov Tzokdiyan, the man who allegedly acted as the robber, is charged with conspiracy to commit insurance fraud and was released on bond. According to the news source, Havens has a bond of $135,000, but the kidnapping charge he faces prohibits his release.
