You Gotta See These Trees With Fine Jewelry as Ornaments

Share

The holidays are an extravagant time for many, but a Christmas tree in your hotel room dripping with fine jewelry may be the most extravagant holiday celebration of all.

This year, New York’s Dominick hotel collaborated with fine jeweler Lizzie Fortunato to trim Christmas trees hotel guests could order for their suite that were ornamented with earrings, bracelets, and necklaces. Guests who reserved a tree got to take home all the golden and bejeweled goodies decorating it.

Dominick guests could request a bejeweled Christmas tree in their room and take home all of the Lizzie Fortunato jewelry that came on it.

The Dominick had provided en-suite decorated Christmas trees in the past and has previously collaborated with local artists, but this was its first time partnering with Lizzie Fortunato, according to a statement. They curated three Presents on the Tree collections, led by a $4,155 “Fine” package including a shaded aquamarine and morganite necklace, a single-strand opal necklace, a tourmaline beaded necklace, a pink topaz and amethyst necklace charm, earrings with pink topaz and green amethyst, and Pastille earrings with sky blue topaz (all in 14k gold).

The Holiday Shine collection, priced at $1,455, included Lizzie Fortunato’s Crystal Lagoon II and Meret necklaces and Meteor Shower earrings, plus a Gala peacock sequin handbag and Modern Love jewelry roll. The New Neutral collection ($1,275) included Taj II earrings, Muse rain pendant necklace, Aquarius collar, Pacifica pearl bracelet, and the Modern Love jewelry roll.

“This collaboration is not solely a partnership; it’s a fusion of kindred spirits, a harmonious marriage of luxury and artistic expression,” said Justine McCleery, general manager at the Dominick, a “lifestyle hotel” known for its generously sized rooms and top-notch city views.

Lizzie Fortunato, which is based in the same SoHo neighborhood where the hotel is located, is all about innovation as well as sparkle and shine—it debuted a brand resale program earlier this year. Together, the two are like a traveler’s dream, combining jewels and luxury accommodations.

“Our handcrafted jewelry is designed to tell a story, with both materials and inspiration sourced from around the globe, reflecting artisanal craftwork, fine art, and architecture of special destinations,” said Lizzie Fortunato, who cofounded her namesake brand with her twin sister, Kathryn. “We’re thrilled to collaborate with a brand that shares our passion for storytelling and creating unique experiences.”
