Cheetos, the crunchy cheese-flavored snack brand, is offering a $20,000 gold, diamond, and sapphire ring and earring set for the holidays
Cheetos, the snack brand owned by Frito-Lay, is celebrating the holidays, and promoting its brand, with a one-of-a-kind 18k gold earring and ring set, for sale on its website.
The set, called Eye of the Cheetah from the Chestora Collection, retails at $20,000. It features orange sapphires and over 190 black and white diamonds.
“Despite all the options that are out there, a lot of times the gifts that we give can be uninspired and run-of-mill,” Ryan Matiyow, senior director of marketing at Cheetos, told Mashable. “This year, we sought to change that by creating a collection of truly unique items that really deliver against the playful and fun personality of the Cheetos brand across a variety of categories, including jewelry.”
Other pieces in the collection include perfume, cufflinks, and bronzer.
“It’s really [marketed] towards the ultimate Cheetos fan who really wants to put on display the love that they have for the brand,” Matiyow said. “That’s really who would be the hyper-target, I would say, for the jewelry set.”
The company did not disclose who designed the set but did say it was a designer in the Dallas–Fort Worth area.
